You would think in this economy the fees to attend conferences would be a bit more reasonable. Unfortunately, that’s not the case. I’m guessing that only a couple of staff in your recreation organization is being sent to conferences. If that’s the case make sure that those who do attend the conference take good notes.
Here’s a tip: Create a form for the attendees that has them record the top three ideas from each workshop that might benefit your organization. Of course, it’s best if they all attend different workshops in order to get the most out of the conference.
When the attendees return take the notes and create binders for all the staff. Distribute them at your next meeting.
