I have worked at 5 resident camps and I can tell you that all of them are spooky at night when nobody is around. Resident camps are the perfect places for haunted attractions like a Haunted Hayride or Haunted Trail.

Imagine hearing on the radio a creepy old voice, “Come up to Bear Springs Camp and Conference Center and experience the horror of The Haunt. Can you handle the terror of walking the haunted trail from cabin to cabin, not knowing what may come out from the forest or what might be lurking under a bunk bed?” (Okay, so I’m not the best advertisement copywriter, but you get the idea.)
The dining hall could be the end of the trail where food and “I survived the Bear Springs Haunted Trail” t-shirts are sold. Depending on the camp size and layout, the possibilities are endless. I know many people who drive over an hour to get to a good haunted attraction. All of them would drive up to 2 hours to get to a great one.
If you work at a camp and don’t do something like this you’re missing out on a wonderful fundraising opportunity.
