So we had a meeting today about what we’re going to do for Halloween. I’m in charge of special events and I felt that we needed to be ambitious this year and do a haunted house…something that this recreation department has never done. Of course, I decided this months ago and only now am I getting around to actually thinking about it.
You know how it is…the school year is ending and you’re getting ready for summer. Then summer starts and you have to run the camps. Then the start of school begins to draw closer and your busy getting the brochure ready and planning after school programs. The next thing you know – BAM! the Halloween event is five weeks away.
Of course none of us have ever put together a haunted house. This ought to be interesting. Over the course of the next five weeks I will let you know what we’re doing…and if anyone happens to read this and has ideas for me please leave a comment.
