I’m a recreation professional, and there is no other career I’d rather have (except for maybe Rock Star).
I have worked at resident camps, day camps, outdoor science programs, after school programs, for YMCAs, Boys and Girls Clubs and city recreation departments. I have led training workshops, team building programs, teen trips, community special events and everything in between. Though I enjoy working with adults, my passion is for youth programming.
Some people are good at engineering or finances or cards or music or martial arts. I am good at developing and improving youth programs and special events. It’s what I love to do.
So enjoy my ramblings and insights. I am sure you will find some neat ideas and resources here and there. And please, share your comments, suggestions, and wisdom.
